EU politician Bloss wants to use part of the money from the EU Recovery Plan for a 70 million PV roofs programme in the EU.

EU politician Michael Bloss is campaigning to use part of the money from the EU Recovery Plan for a 70 million solar roof programme. This will create two million jobs and reduce CO2 emissions by 11 percent, which is equivalent to France's emissions. In addition, more than 1.100 TWh of electricity will be generated, which is twice as much as Germany currently consumes. The programme would cost around 21 billion euros. This compares to annual subsidies for coal, oil and gas of 46 billion euros.
